Tick Bites - prevention and treatment

At certain times of the year ticks are more prevalent in the local area. Every year we get requests for "emergency" appointments because a patient or visitor to the area has been bitten by a tick. We have produced a practice patient information leaflet that may help answer questions about preventing tick bites, how to remove them if bitten and the risks of contracting lyme disease.
